How many days in a row can I do strength training? How often should I rest?

I recently started exercising at Curves. I have been doing their hydrolics-based circuit training. How many days in a row can I do that? Should I take a few days a week off? If you do strength training too much can it cause damage?
The Curves curcuit is set up to work each body group a little big during every work out. So I am working the same muscles in each workout, but not for a long time.

If you do the same body parts over and over, then yes, you can potentially cause damage or over exert yourself, however, if you are doing different muscle groups each day, then you can get away with lifting six days a week so long as you give each muscle group sufficient time to rest and recover. Sleep is critical since that is when you do much of your muscle growth and toning.
