What are isometric resistance bands you ask?
Well, not so much what they are it is a training protocol with which use them. Resistance bands or exercise bands as they are also mentioned, have become very popular for many reasons different.
The main reason is that they are easy to transport and can be used anywhere.
A interesting features on exercise bands is in its "elastic potential variable." This means that the strip extends – it gives you greater strength. Just like a regular elastic – it is faster.

Here's an interesting question for you … if you were to take a plate of 20 pounds dumbbells, then took some resistance tubing and extended about 3 feet off the ground – then you've published both at the same time – what you think hit the ground first?
Believe it or not the resistance band would go to the ground first.
The same principle applies even if you doubled the weight. Given the same distance … resistance bands would always beat weights.The reason for it is the "principle of resistance" in the bands are much higher than the acceleration of gravity itself.
The same is true if you use an isometric exerciser which has a spring that its component of the resistance. As you pull or compress the exerciser isometric resistance becomes greater. When you reach the point where you can not compress or pulley exerciser further then and only then do you make the isometric hold.
Here's what happens – the spring, as the resistance band tries to contract it is to release more resistance than if you had to use a door-say, a belt or chain.
These types devices are not the best for isometric exercise. Since they do not have this "resistance and contraction" is necessary to make gains.
