Bowflex Extreme?
Yesterday I saw a commercial boxflex extreme and I was very impressed. I wanted to know if anyone can share their experiences on this machine if they have any and wanted to know if these "power bars" are safe and is it possible for them to pressure?
The power rods are safe. I've never heard of any of them hanging. Bowflex advantage is that you will make lots of different exercises with a piece of equipment. On the negative side, the numbers they cited for resistance are not comparable to books for a number of reasons. The resistance is progressive in that it becomes more difficult as you go later in the year. The company claims that this is better, but in my humble opinion it is just because that's all their equipment can do. The unit will have much more space than they claim as well. It is completely addequate for most things, but not resistance sufficient for things like dead lifts, leg presses or squats. It can not be implemented for full squats. It is like any other piece of equipment in that you get out exactly what you put into it.
