Calf Raise Block
Why has my vertical jump decreased…?
I’m 20, 6’2” 180lbs.
First, I worked out with free weights and did no plyos, but could grab and hang on the rim fairly consistently. I used to chase down block guys off the backboard(not as high as they do in the professionals, but would get the job done.)
Then, I started a training program using body weight exercises and low intensity plyos and noticed my standing jump to block shots got better and i could still grab rim, but was much harder to do so consistently.
I am now hitting the major leg workouts and have noticed I can jump higher in game, but when i try to grab rim i can barely touch it anymore. What gives?
P.S. how much do i need to improve? I just started 3 weeks ago.
Deadlift: 145
